ASX suspends small-cap auction trial

The Australian Securities Exchange has suspended a trial scheme aimed at creating a more liquid market in small company stocks, after attempting it for less than a day.

The Australian Securities Exchange has suspended a trial scheme aimed at creating a more liquid market in small company stocks, after attempting it for less than a day.

The ASX confirmed that it put the trial of “intraday auctions" for small-cap stocks on pause in order to fix an issue with its trading system.
