Animoca Brands executive chairman Yat Siu says getting kicked off the Australian Securities Exchange over governance and accounting issues was “a blessing” for the $US5 billion digital gaming company because the bourse’s regulatory framework would have restricted its explosive growth.

The Austrian-born entrepreneur said he held no hard feelings towards the ASX, and its decision to remove the company opened the door to other opportunities.
