Opposition to energy projects could push up bills

Delays to energy projects caused by opposition from farmers and activists are driving up costs and could push energy bills higher, energy experts say.
“There’s no doubt that these sorts of delays potentially put more pressure on gas supply prices in the east coast of Australia and that delays always add risk and therefore cost," said Tony Wood, energy program director at the Grattan Institute.
