Western Areas ’ $2.4 million exploration play in South Australia will aim to firm up the “next frontier for nickel copper exploration" in the country, according to managing director Dan Lougher, who says exploration in West Australia’s successful Fraser Range is “all done".

Australia’s second largest nickel sulphide producer has signed farm-in deals with two exploration minnows, Monax Mining and Gunson Resources , to explore their tenements within the Western Gawler region of South Australia.
