Another Australian corporate figure has fallen victim to the scam in which a person’s personal contacts are sent a fake message asking for money to be quickly transferred because the person has run into trouble overseas.

In the case of George Sakalidis , the managing director of West Australian mineral sands hopeful Image Resources, his contacts were sent a message from his Hotmail account over the weekend titled “Urgent Request".
