Gold stocks enjoyed a phenomenal rally last week as the precious metal rose to a two-week high following the Fed meeting, but some investors are beginning to question whether local gold shares are already becoming too expensive.

"You can't ignore the fact that the majors dropped off from their highs in late July, and quite frankly they were expensive," said Ryan Armstrong, mining and resources analyst at Taylor Collison.
