Steinke's fine farewell
Ken Steinke, who resigned as West Australian Newspaper's executive director in December, was awarded a $1.85 million termination payment as well as a salary of $397,613, the company's annual report on Friday reveals. WAN said cost management and prudent expenditure would be key priorities in fiscal 2010 and it expected performance would improve after a 16 per cent decline in advertising revenues in the year ended on June 30.
