A US subsidiary of Emerald Oil & Gas has formed a new company, Kentucky Energy Partners, with Slone Production, a local gas field operator, to target and develop high productivity gas areas in Magoffin County in Kentucky in the US.

Emerald holds 75 per cent in the new company with Slone having the remainder.
