Investors in Prana Biotechnology yesterday saw their scrip nearly quadruple in value due to positive trials of a drug to fight Alzheimer's disease.

Although the trial was only conducted on 15-month-old mice, the stock was stampeded when trading began yesterday, ramping up the share price by more than 320 per cent.
