Washington | Donald Trump’s senior trade adviser said Australia is “killing” America’s aluminium market, in a blow to Canberra’s efforts for an exemption from the president’s tariffs on steel and aluminium.
Peter Navarro, senior counsel to the president and a trade hawk, repeated accusations that Australia has flooded the US market with the metal since the country was given an exemption from tariffs under the first Trump presidency.
