Time running out for Rudd, says Trump adviser
Washington/Canberra | The Albanese government insists it is not considering contingency plans to recall Kevin Rudd as ambassador to the US, despite one of Donald Trump’s top advisers suggesting the envoy’s days in Washington are numbered.
Opposition foreign affairs spokesman Simon Birmingham said the Coalition had been careful not to politicise the role, but urged the government to assess whether Dr Rudd would be able to continue.
