Dutton doubles down on ‘price gouging’ by big-box retailers

Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has doubled down on accusations of price gouging by big-box retailers including Bunnings, but the Coalition is yet to produce specific evidence to support claims consumers are being ripped off.

The Coalition will accuse some major retailers including Bunnings of price gouging as well as using heavy-handed tactics against suppliers and smaller rivals during parliamentary hearings expected to take place before the end of the year.
