But our men’s kayak sprint team missed out by an extraordinary 0.4 of a second, and swimmer Moe Johnson surrendered her lead in the dying moments of the women’s marathon in the Seine. Still, that pair of silvers – and a couple of boxing bronzes – will keep the medal tally ticking over.
