Fresh from inking $1 billion in deals from Australian governments, technology start-up PsiQuantum has promised to build a quantum computer in Chicago after landing $US500 million ($764 million) in incentives.
The incentives come as part of a $US1 billion investment plan from the State of Illinois, Cook County and Chicago, aimed at building the first US-based utility-scale, fault-tolerant quantum computer. PsiQuantum will be the major beneficiary of its broader investments too.
