Washington | Unless President Joe Biden bows to mounting pressure and steps aside, there is little Democrats can do to remove him from office or stop him continuing as their official nominee for the November 5 election.

Death has been the most common way a president leaves office before the end of his term, followed by resignation – either during a term, as with Richard Nixon, or at the end, as was the case with Lyndon Johnson.
