Julian Assange to seek pardon after 15-year legal battle comes to close

Wikileaks co-founder Julian Assange could be back in Australia within days, after agreeing to a plea deal with US prosecutors that ends a near 15-year battle over his publication of military and diplomatic secrets.

His wife, lawyer Stella Assange, told Reuters on Tuesday they would seek a pardon and said she was elated that he would return home but angry he had been held for so long.
