UK, European centre-right parties rush to woo their radical rivals

London | British and European centre-right parties are frantically courting the resurgent radical right, in a move that portends a potential reshaping of the conservative side of politics.
The latest leader onto the bandwagon is Eric Ciotti, head of France’s mainstream centre-right party, Les Republicans. On Tuesday, he sparked a furious internal debate by urging an alliance with the hard-right National Rally for the French elections later this month.
