Cupertino, California | While artificial intelligence took the spotlight at Apple’s biggest Worldwide Developers Conference in years on Tuesday morning (Australian time), the tech giant also unveiled a raft of new productivity, financial services and technical updates, which will affect iPhones, iPads, Macs and watches.

The updates started with a new calculator for the iPad that lets users solve complex maths equations just by writing them out with the pencil, and a new messaging system for the iPhone that will work better with Android phones.
