It was heartening to read Allegra Spender’s considered piece on the immigration and related housing debate (“Let’s be rational about migration”).
Making good policy requires a thorough understanding of the reasons for the economic circumstances. Hasty or ill-thought out reactions can create unintended consequences and make things worse.
