UK Conservatives on course for the worst result in 100 years
Calling the election now is more about saving Tory furniture than victory. Sunak wants to call it quits before he breaks any records that he doesn’t want to hold.

As UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced his snap general election on Thursday, it was Britain’s notoriously inclement weather that once again stole the show.
Doused with rain outside a gloomy looking Downing Street, his calling of the election ended months of speculation and brought back some interesting memories for me.
