Musk’s lawyers to fight X take-down orders on two fronts

Elon Musk’s lawyers are set to fight the eSafety commissioner’s global take-down orders of the Sydney church stabbing footage on two fronts, arguing the agency made a bureaucratic bungle and massively overreached.

In a hearing on Monday evening, lawyers for Mr Musk’s social site X flagged they could go to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal to challenge the initial order requiring the videos to be removed. And Mr Musk posted on Tuesday saying that Monday’s court ruling, which applies globally, went too far.
