Houthi missiles force crew to abandon ship in worst strike so far

London | Cairo | Houthi militants said on Monday (Tuesday AEDT) they attacked a commercial ship in the Red Sea, forcing the crew to abandon the vessel, the first such evacuation since the militant group began menacing trade in the vital waterway late last year.
The rebels said the Belize-flagged Rubymar, attacked with missiles on Sunday, was at risk of sinking, raising the stakes in their campaign to disrupt global shipping in solidarity with Palestinians in the Gaza war.
