Israel has upbraided the Albanese government for “forgetting” about Hamas’ “culpability” over the war in Gaza as Foreign Minister Penny Wong weighs up lifting a freeze on $6 million in funding for Palestinian refugees.

Ambassador Amir Maimon’s criticism came as Peter Dutton said Senator Wong should be sacked if she reinstated funding for the United Nations Relief Works Agency while it confronted allegations at least a dozen staff members aided in the October 7 terror attack against Israel.
