Merged Woodside and Santos LNG output could slide as projects stall

LNG production will fall for at least two years between Woodside Energy and Santos, the two largest oil and gas producers on the ASX, and longer if legal challenges and environmental issues delay work on $22 billion in projects.

The Federal Court is expected to rule on Monday over whether Santos can proceed with a pipeline that is fundamental to its controversial $5.8 billion Barossa gas project in the Timor Sea, off the coast of the Northern Territory.
