Virgin, Bonza check fleet as US grounds Max 9 planes

Virgin Australia and Bonza Airlines confirmed their Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft have been checked after a safety warning issued late last month and as the United States grounded 737 Max 9 aircraft.

The US Federal Aviation Administration ordered the temporary grounding of 171 Max 9 planes amid ongoing investigations into Alaskan Airlines flight 1282, during which a door plug blew out midair forcing an emergency landing.
