How big business will handle a backlash over the Voice
Much of corporate Australia strongly backed the Voice. The result means they are reassessing how to address social issues as past of the ESG agenda.
Jennifer HewettColumnistIt’s not just the Labor government having to suddenly recalibrate its rhetoric following the overwhelming defeat of the Voice referendum. The business community also faces an awkward dilemma.
It was inevitable that companies which showed their support, including financial support, for the Voice would come under fire for doing so from some of their shareholders as well as from the Coalition.
