Meeting marathon makes progress, but US-China differences remain

Beijing | US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen says 10 hours of bilateral meetings with senior Chinese officials were “direct” and “productive”, and helped stabilise the often rocky relationship.
As she ended a four-day trip to Beijing, Ms Yellen told a press conference on Sunday the United States and China remained at odds on several issues, but she expressed confidence her visit had advanced US efforts to “put the US-China relationship on surer footing”.
