TPG Telecom’s path to the bush vanishingly narrow

TPG Telecom has been effectively locked out of expanding into the bush, with the cost of replacing its nixed infrastructure-sharing deal with Telstra likely to be prohibitively expensive, analysts say.
The linchpin of the $1.8 billion deal blocked by the Australian Competition Tribunal on Wednesday was TPG’s willingness to let Telstra use its spectrum, which is used to transmit calls and mobile internet.
