Tour de France: Unchained is must-see for cycling fans (and noobs)
This eight-part series is the latest in a stream of slickly produced behind-the-scenes sports documentaries.
Following the recent success of in-depth sports documentaries such as Drive to Survive (Formula 1), Full Swing (golf) and Break Point (tennis), it was only a matter of time before pro cycling – with all its interpersonal drama, spectacular scenery and horrifying crashes – got the same treatment.
The eight-part Netflix series Tour de France: Unchained follows the fortunes of a number of teams over the course of the 2022 edition of Le Grande Boucle (“the big loop”).
