War tops G7 agenda as leaders gather in Hiroshima
Hiroshima, Japan | World leaders began arriving in the Japanese city of Hiroshima on Thursday, where they will seek common ground on punishing Russia for its invasion of Ukraine and deterring China from taking similar action against Taiwan during three days of talks at the G7 summit.
With the threat of war topping the agenda, US President Joe Biden and other democratic leaders will on Friday visit a peace museum and memorial park highlighting the devastation caused by the US atomic bombing of the city during the world’s last global conflict in 1945.
