NBN sent back to the drawing board on affordable broadband

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has rejected NBN’s proposed plan for pricing and access, sending it back to the drawing board for new ideas on making broadband more affordable and effective, in a process that has already taken two years.
In a long-awaited decision, the ACCC rejected NBN’s proposal – known as the Special Access Undertaking (SAU) – and told a telecommunications conference on Tuesday that it would now kick off another round of industry submissions.
