Wealthy art collectors have plenty of works to splash their money on in Smith & Singer’s auction of Important Australian and International Art, whose catalogue went online this week.
Estimates for the works to be offered in the May 2 sale in Sydney include $2 million to $3 million for an Oberon landscape by Brett Whiteley titled The Paddock – Early Morning, and $1.2 million to $1.6 million for a magical tea party by Charles Blackman titled The White Tablecloth.
