Jennifer Westacott says the new city of Bradfield emerging on the outskirts of Sydney alongside the new airport is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to rethink education and career pathways.
“This is a new model where industry says to us this is what we need. We have got to start working with schools to make sure we are getting young people with the right STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) knowledge and the right capabilities,” says Westacott, chairwoman of the Western Parklands City Authority.
