Westfield owner Scentre beats guidance with 10.5pc lift in payout
Westfield owner Scentre is riding high on the retail rebound, with newly appointed chief executive Elliott Rusanow giving shareholders a better-than-expected 10.5 per cent lift in distributions for 2022 and forecasting a further 4.8 per cent bump higher for this year’s payout.
Delivering his first annual result – Scentre’s financial year aligns with the calendar year – since the company’s former financial office stepped in to the top job, Mr Rusanow revealed a series of high-scoring metrics, led by a record $26.7 billion in sales banked by Westfield’s tenants.
