$15b fund at the mercy of the Greens after Lib rebuff

The government has accused the Coalition of reverting to the opposition mindset of Tony Abbott after it resolved to oppose legislation to establish the $15 billion National Reconstruction Fund.
The decision, which will force the government to go cap in hand to the Greens and other Senate crossbenchers, also has implications for Labor’s other off-budget funds, which are worth more than $47 billion in total and about which the International Monetary Fund expressed wariness this week.
