Australia’s largest steelmaker, BlueScope, has been successful in an application to have anti-dumping duties extended on certain steel products from Taiwan after warning federal authorities of a flood of excess steel headed for Australia as the economy in China slows.
BlueScope, which has been in the spotlight in the past few days for attempted price fixing in 2013 and 2014 as a judge handed down a decision in a civil case brought by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, made a submission to the Anti-Dumping Commission requesting the anti-dumping measures continue.
