Anthony Albanese and Solomon Islands Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare will seek to reset ties during talks in Canberra on Thursday, amid ongoing security concerns over Honiara’s closeness to Beijing.

But Mr Sogavare will be shielded from media questions over his country’s burgeoning relationship with China, with no joint press conference scheduled after their meeting.
