Premier Investments sales surge, but cautious on consumer headwinds

Solomon Lew’s Premier Investments has started off the new financial year with a bang with a $50 million share buyback and special dividend in tow, sending the share price to a near five-month-high on Thursday.

Mr Lew told The Australian Financial Review that Premier Retail, which spans seven brands – Peter Alexander, Smiggle, Dotti, Just Jeans, Jay Jays, Portmans and Jacqui E – had opened the new financial year “very strongly”.
