Incomes in Australia’s richest suburb grow by 80pc
Residents of Peppermint Grove and Cottesloe in Perth’s affluent western suburbs reported a more than 80 per cent increase in their incomes in 2019-20, dislodging Sydney’s Double Bay and Melbourne’s Toorak as home to the nation’s highest earners.
Known as Perth’s “millionaire’s row”, Peppermint Grove had an average taxable income of $325,343 in 2019-20, up from sixth spot in 2018-19, at $179,376.
