Activist short seller J Capital has attacked lithium explorer Lake Resources for paying financial advisory businesses 41.5 million share options to produce favourable research on it at the same time as insiders at Lake sold shares.
The hedge fund research house founded by Tim Murray and Anne Stevenson-Yang also argued investors still have no evidence that Lake Resources’ proposed direct lithium extraction (DLE) technology works.
