Crown Resorts needs a “fresh set of eyes” after ending the first phase of its recovery from three brutal probes that found the company unfit to run its Australian casinos with Blackstone’s $8.9 billion takeover, says outgoing chief executive Steve McCann.
Mr McCann will leave in September, with overseas gaming heavyweights Ciaran Carruthers, chief operating officer at Wynn Macau, and the former Cosmopolitan Las Vegas boss Bill McBeath due to start as Crown’s next CEO and chairman, respectively.
