Drone-powered logistics start-up Swoop Aero has walked away from a $100 million takeover offer from a US company servicing the defence sector, instead raising another $16 million of private capital.
The business, which was founded in 2017 by Eric Peck and Josh Tepper, operates a fleet of drones for first- and last-mile logistics. It flies drones globally, including the delivery of vaccines in Vanuatu and COVID-19 testing kits and samples in Scotland.
