Albanese commits to ‘more resilient Indo-Pacific region’
Tokyo | Anthony Albanese has assured fellow Indo-Pacific leaders of Australia’s continued commitment towards the region’s top security dialogue, and listed climate change as the main economic and security threat to the region’s island states like the Solomon Islands.
Attending the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (Quad) just 24 hours after being sworn in as Australia’s 31st Prime Minister, Mr Albanese told the leaders of the United States, Japan and India that Australia remained resolved to secure regional peace and stability.
