Victoria’s energy and climate minister Lily D’Ambrosio said federal Labor’s power grid upgrade plan will help ensure the leadership from Canberra missing under the Coalition but needed to ensure a smooth energy transition.

Canberra’s failure to take a lead on the energy transition and its politicisation of the issue are to blame for the energy price shocks that are emerging, she declared, saying Victoria had to take action itself to protect consumers in the state.
