Senior shadow ministers will fan out across the country over the next week to cover for the COVID-19-stricken Anthony Albanese, as Labor scrambles to keep its campaign on track.
With four weeks until polling day, Mr Albanese expressed frustration at contracting COVID-19 just when he had begun to regain momentum, and could not guarantee he would be well enough for Labor’s campaign launch scheduled for Sunday week in Perth.
