Pre-election pork barrelling by the Morrison government won’t win over sceptical undecided voters and undermines spending on badly needed community projects, high-profile independent Zoe Daniel says.

The former ABC journalist and challenger to assistant minister Tim Wilson in the safe Melbourne electorate of Goldstein has joined calls from independent candidates for a substantive review of the tax system and wants greater assistance for small business from the Tax Office.
