SA’s treasurer-in-waiting promises financial discipline

Stephen Mullighan, who worked for Deloitte Access Economics before entering politics, says expanding the South Australian economy will be central to paying down debt in the post-pandemic era should the Labor Party win next week’s state election.
Mr Mullighan said with interest rates about to rise, he will be a financially disciplined treasurer should Labor win the March 19 election and tip Premier Steven Marshall’s Liberal government out after just one term.
