Wesfarmers lures ex-Woolies operative to bed down API
Myriam RobinSenior WriterArch-rival Wesfarmers first scuttled then usurped Woolworths’ intention to buy up Priceline owner API last month. And Wesfarmers’ Rob Scott still appears to be rubbing salt in the wounds, if his latest hire is anything to go by.
The ASX-listed (and Perth-headquartered) conglomerate posted its half-year results on Thursday, in the process revealing it had hired Emily Amos as head of the group’s “health-related opportunities”, “working closely” with API chief Richard Vincent.
