NSW Liberals hesitate to hit campaign trail with PM in byelections

Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s unpopularity is causing Liberals to hesitate to bring him out on the campaign trail, a senior NSW government source says.
It comes after a series of bruising political polls for Mr Morrison as he suffers blowback from the omicron surge, with the latest Newspoll showing Labor 12 points ahead of the Coalition on a two-party preferred basis.
