Australia’s definition of full vaccination against COVID-19 is set to be expanded to include three shots, with advice to the Morrison government expected to require booster injections for essential workers and international travellers within weeks.
The Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) is currently finalising new advice, and federal sources expect it to call for third vaccine shots to be completed within a specific timeframe after the second injection.
